Woman’s delivery under mobile flash light

Hospitals are expected to treat patients properly, especially when a pregnant woman is brought there. Every woman is very fragile at this stage, so even a slight carelessness in her care can be fatal for two lives, but a serious game was played with the lives of two pregnant women and their babies in a hospital in Vaishali, Bihar.

At the Sahadei Community Health Center in Vaishali, two women suffering from labor pains were delivered by health workers using mobile flashlights. The video of the delivery done in mobile and torch light is fast going viral on social media. The viral video is said to be from late Wednesday night. The primary health center brought the woman to Sahdei for delivery but the health center had no electricity, there was a generator but no one to run it causing great distress.

The delivery took place under mobile lights

ANM Kumari Asha, stationed at the health center, said that the electricity was cut at around 1:30 pm on Wednesday. Two female patients reached the community health center for delivery but there was no electricity. After which at 2:10 in the night the delivery was done by turning on the flash light of the mobile. He said that there is no water system in the health center. The water in the tank had dried up. The health center has a generator set up but there was no one to run it. He further said that the complaint about the lack of light was made to the medical officer. Even after this the lights were not switched on. While Dr. Anil Kumar says that there was no electricity, there is a generator but no one to turn it on. The security guard also said that the mobile was delivered with a flash light.

There was no water system in the hospital

Vipin Rai, a family member of the female patient, says that there has been no electricity since 1.30 pm and they had to go to the garden to defecate as there was no water facility in the hospital. Lack of water caused great difficulty. He stated that the delivery took place in the dark. According to the information, the woman who came for delivery is Parvati Devi, wife of Bipin Ram, resident of Naya village, Paschim Taiyabpur, Sahadei block. While the other woman is Ragni Kumari, wife of Vishwajit Kumar of Sahadei. Both the women reached the Sahadei Community Health Center along with their family members for delivery late last Wednesday night. There was no electricity here so they were delivered by phone flash light.
