Nine girl students of a school in Bihar’s Nalanda district fell ill after drinking contaminated water. When his health deteriorated, he was admitted to a local hospital, where a baby girl died. At that time, there was a commotion in the school due to this incident. The matter also reached the DM. After this, the District Magistrate reprimanded the school management and also ordered to register an FIR against the school warden.
There is Kasturba Gandhi Girls School in Nalanda. Sick students used to study in this school. An official said that the girl who died was not a student of the school. She had come to meet a friend of hers at school. The cause of death is said to be drinking contaminated water.
DM of Nalanda said
Nalanda DM Shashank Shubhankar said that RO system has been installed in the school. The students drank water from this RO. After some time he started having stomach pain. Some students even vomited. The incident is on Monday. The school management immediately admitted the students to the hospital.
According to the doctors of the hospital, the health of the students has improved. He complained of abdominal pain. According to the DM, prima facie it has come to light that the health of the girl students had deteriorated after drinking contaminated water from the RO system. It is found that the RO system installed in the school is not properly maintained. A case has been ordered to be registered against the school warden. He has also been suspended. Departmental action will also be taken against him.

A police team reached the hospital on receiving information about the girl’s death, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. The condition of the family is bad after the incident. The girl’s family has demanded strict action against the school management.
