An incident of food poisoning has come to light in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur. One child has died and two people are in critical condition after eating this food. All were admitted to hospital for treatment. The sick people are being treated in the hospital. The incident is from Sahebganj, where eight people of the same family fell ill due to food poisoning in Chhapra village.
After the meal, everyone’s health suddenly started to deteriorate. The condition of all suddenly turned critical, after which all were admitted to the hospital, where the doctors, seeing the condition of all as critical, referred them to SKMCH. While the family members were taking him to SKMCH, the child, Pritam alias Sooraj, began to deteriorate and died on the way.
Treatment is going on in a private hospital
The families have admitted all the sick people to a private hospital, where two are said to be in critical condition. Villagers are very scared after this incident. At the same time, the family members of the deceased child are in a bad condition and are crying.
Dr. Ganesh Kumar Gautam said that a four-member medical team was sent to the victims’ homes for investigation. Prima facie it appears to be a case of food poisoning, everyone started feeling cold, everyone was unconscious. Dr. Vijay Kumar Pandey said that the people of the house brought edible food from outside, everyone ate it and fell ill. All patients are under treatment. Bleaching powder has been sprayed in the village. ORS has been distributed to the family members. The sick include Ram Jatan Rai, Sohavan Kunwar, Vibha Devi, Rani Kumari, Sahil Kumar, Priyanshu Kumari, Kriti Kumar.
