The Muslims of Purnia are protesting against the Waqf Board Act brought by the central government.
Seemanchal Muslims are demanding people to register their objections against the Waqf Board Act. They fear that their land, madrassas and graveyards will be taken away after this law is passed. At the same time, Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM is also busy with QR code scan campaign. AIMIM leaders say that if this law is passed, Muslims will not even be left with graveyards to bury their dead.

AIMIM leaders are conducting awareness campaigns in various places against the Waqf Board Act. AIMIM state president Akhtrul Iman says that if this law is passed, Muslims will not even have a graveyard to bury their bodies. Also thousands of mosques will be demolished after the amendment in the Waqf Board Act.
In fact, the matter of passing the Waqf Bill has gone to the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) after objections from Muslim organizations. Now the committee is seeking suggestions on the bill from the general public, NGOs and experts through QR code. Muslim organizations are registering their objection through this QR code.
BJP will conduct an awareness campaign about the bill
At the same time, the BJP is also going to launch an awareness campaign following criticism from Muslim organizations on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. Under this campaign, BJP will make people aware about the benefits of the bill. BJP has asked its MPs to send mails to JPC mail id in support of the bill. A target of more than 3 lakh rupees has been given for this.
