Bihar: Jackal terror ends in Muzaffarpur, thrashed by villagers, bites 24 people

A jackal was maintaining an atmosphere of terror in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur. About 24 people of Kudhni block were injured due to fox bites. The people of the village were living in fear. Meanwhile, the jackal attacked the villagers again. But this time the villagers beat him up.

Villagers killed a jackal with sticks in Purushottampur village of Kudhani block in Muzaffarpur. People breathed a sigh of relief after the death of the fox. According to information, some villagers went to defecate. Meanwhile the jackal attacked from behind. As soon as the fox attacked, the villagers gathered at the spot.

Beaten by the villagers

The villagers surrounded the fox from all sides and attacked it with sticks. As soon as the news of the fox’s death spread, the people of the surrounding village reached the spot. The dead body of the jackal was lying on the side of the road. As soon as the information was received, the forest department team reached the spot and started the investigation. Veterinary Officer of Forest Department Dr. Rajeev Ranjan said that the carcass of a jackal was found in a roadside field near Purushottampur Chamrua. One of his leg bones is broken. Internal hemorrhage was also detected. The dying jackal was male.

The winter caused terror

For the last one week, due to jackals, an atmosphere of terror had been created in many villages of Musahri and Kudhani blocks. According to locals, the jackal bit and injured more than two dozen people. People were very scared of this jackal. The forest department team had also set up a cage to catch it. But the fox was not caught.

Wolves and winters have maintained a reign of terror in UP’s Bahraich, Basti, Gorakhpur and Banda these days. 10 people have died in a wolf attack in Bahraich. At the same time, more than 30 people are said to have been injured.
