The incident is from Arah, Bihar, where a professor’s refusal to copy from a mobile in a PG exam proved costly. The female candidates, upset with the prevention of cheating, beat up the lady professor in the exam hall itself. Assistant Professor Dr. Shuchi Sneha has sustained serious injuries in several places including her eyes. This matter is related to PG Semester III Exam.
During the PG Semester 3 Semester 2022-24 examination at Veer Kunwar Singh University, three female students of Botany beat up a professor for not being allowed to copy at Maharaja College Center in Arrah city on the first day on Monday. . In this incident, the female teacher suffered serious injuries in several places including eyes, back and neck. Due to which an atmosphere of chaos was created for some time. Hearing the noise, the professor came from the other room, after which the matter calmed down.
The professor lodged a complaint
The injured professor complained about this to the Superintendent of the Center Prof. Done with Alok Kumar. After this, the center informed the university administration about this. Vice Chancellor Prof. Shailendra Kumar Chaturvedi, Registrar Dr. Ranvijay Kumar, Head of Political Science Dr. Kundan Kumar Singh and other officials reached Maharaja College, where they spoke to the center’s superintendent and professor.
The university said that strict action will be taken in this matter. After this, the center superintendent expelled the three students from the examination. Here, the university has instructed these students not to appear in the upcoming exams as well. Necessary guidelines have also been issued to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
The girls also reached the office
According to the college administration, angry female students also reached the office creating a ruckus. After explaining from there, he was sent back. After the incident, Principal In-charge Prof. Alok Ranjan called the police on 112 number. The principal handed over the professor’s complaint to the police who reached the spot. The professor also has the assaulted student’s mobile phone which the principal has handed over to the police.
He will not be able to take the exam for three years
Registrar Dr Ranvijay Kumar said that the university administration is serious about the attack. The students have been deprived of immediate examination. Also, these students will not appear for the exam for the next three years. The university has instructed the centers to appoint two female and two male professors in all cases regarding the upcoming examinations. The teachers have condemned the incident of attack on Hindi department teacher Dr Shuchi Sneha of Maharaja College.
