In most of the government schools in Bahadurganj city area, the meals under the midday meal scheme provided by the government are distributed by the Public Awareness Agency. At that time, due to the negligence of the personnel working in the public awareness agency, a major incident was avoided with the students studying in the school. Last month too, a chameleon was found in a school lunch in Kishanganj city, which sickened dozens of children after eating it. Expressing anger against the public awareness agency, the local parents have demanded an inquiry and action against District Magistrate Tushar Singa. The in-charge principal of the school, Zafar Alam, said that the students already studying in the school have complained to the teachers of the school several times about the quality of food. He said that this information was also given by the teachers to the officials concerned and the employees of concerned NGOs.
Parents expressed displeasure
Zafar Alam said that NGO workers are maintaining the status quo by only assuring quality improvement. As soon as the lizard was found in the mid-day meal served to the children today, it was immediately informed to Block Education Officer Renu Kumari and NGO workers. After the complaint, the officials have assured to investigate and take action. School president cum local ward councilor Shahbaz Anwar alias Chhote said that local parents have raised questions about the finding of lizards in the mid-day meal and the quality of the food.
If action is not taken, we will protest

Also, the representative of the Nagar Panchayat President has said that if action is not taken against the food supply organization, a fierce agitation will be launched.
