A Bharatiya Janata Party leader has been shot dead by criminals in Bihar’s Patna. On getting the information, the family rushed him to the hospital, where he died. As soon as the incident was reported, the police reached the spot and investigated the incident. The name of the deceased is Shyam Sundar alias Munna Sharma. The incident took place on Monday at four o’clock in the morning.
Police said that Shyam Sundar was shot by criminals near Mangal Talab in Patna city. Shyam had come to Mangal Lake to catch an auto to go somewhere. Meanwhile, the criminals tried to take away his gold chain. Shyam Sundar protested against the chain snatching incident. After this the criminals shot him dead. Shyam was associated with the BJP and was the president of the Municipal Board of Patna City Chowk.

Shyam Sundar’s son also had a sneeze on Sunday itself. Many of his relatives came to participate. At 4 am on Monday, Shyam Sundar came to catch an auto near Mangal Talab to drop off his relatives.
Police are checking the CCTV footage
Chowk police station in-charge Shashi Kumar Kumar Rana said that around 6 am, the police received information that a man named Munna Sharma had been shot and injured in front of City Food restaurant on New Road. After this, his family members rushed him to the hospital, where he died during treatment. CCTV footage around the incident site is being scrutinized. Research is being done. Further action has been taken.
Shot while snatching chain
Former Deputy Mayor Santosh Mehta said that Munna Sharma had been the President of Chowk Nagar Mandal of BJP. He was killed today. If the police were alert, this incident would not have happened. We demand that the administration should investigate the matter thoroughly. BJP leader Sanjeev Yadav said that Munnaji was sitting on the footpath after worshiping at the temple, when three bike-borne criminals came and started robbing him, to which the criminals shot him. People say that the police reached the spot about two hours after the incident.
