The boat is sinking in the river
A major accident took place in Bagmati river in Bihar’s Khagaria today. Here a boat collided with an electric pole in the strong current of the river. The collision was so strong that the boat capsized in the river. About 24 people were on board the boat. After this accident, people started drowning in the river. Some of them swam out, while others were rescued by locals. However, three are still missing. A team of SDRF is searching for the missing people in the river.
The incident took place at Khirnia Ghat in Mansi Police Station area. An eyewitness said the people in question were going to the outskirts of Amba on a boat. They were going there to break parval from their farm. Meanwhile, the boat went out of control in the strong current of Bagmati river and hit an electric pole. People have not had a chance to heal.

When the boat hit the pier, people started screaming and more people came to one side of the boat. Due to which the balance of the boat was disturbed and within few seconds the boat sank. However, some people knew how to swim. He not only saved his own life, but also pulled out several other drowning people from the water.
Chaos at the river gorge
Some youths standing on the ghat jumped into the water to save the drowning people. The youth pulled out many people who were drowning. According to eyewitnesses, three people on board the boat are still missing. Including a woman. SDRF team reached the spot as soon as the information was received. Mansi police station has also reached the spot. There is anarchy at the river ghats. Local people said that on the other side of the river there is a field, where farmers are cultivating. Cultivation of parval gives more profit, so farmers cultivate it near the river.
