Prashant Kishor, Founder of Jan Suraj
Election strategist Prashant Kishor is busy launching his new party Jan Suraj. Two questions are being raised in political circles regarding the launch of PK’s political party. The first question is what will be the constitution of Jan Suraj and the second question is who will get the post of party president?
Who will be the new president of Jan Suraj?
In late July this year, Prashant Kishor announced that the party’s first president would be from the Dalit community. Dalits constitute about 19 percent of Bihar’s population and the PK announcement is being seen as a way to help this community.
According to sources associated with Jan Sooraj, the name of the new president is yet to be decided, but Prashant Kishore and his team have shortlisted 100 names for the post from across Bihar.
Sources in Jan Suraj say that one of these 100 will become the president. However, Prashant himself will take the final decision on who will be there.
An official associated with the organization said on condition of anonymity that a Gandhian and Dalit leader from Bhagalpur is leading the race. PK likes it too. If his name is also removed from the fray, it is possible that he will be made President.
However, the names of former bureaucrats within the party and members of Jan Suraj’s constitution making committee, Lalan Ji and Ganesh Ram of the selection committee are also in the running for the post of president.
Member of Selection Committee of Jan Suraj Ganesh Ram Talking to TV-9 Bharat Varsh, he says- He will announce the President on October 2. A final meeting is yet to be held, after which the name will be decided.
How powerful will the President be in Jan Suraj?
Like other political parties, the President will get power in Jan Suraj, but it is being said that the President will hardly be able to do anything here because of Prashant Kishor. In the organizational structure of Jan Suraj, after the President, the General Secretary of the organization will be powerful.
Jan Sooraj is being called Prashant Kishor’s political venture. Prashant is its architect. PK himself also says this. Prashant Jan Sooraj also has the CM’s face. Whatever investment has been made in Jan Suraj so far is only from PK.
This is also being seen on Jan Suraj’s platform. PK’s picture is plastered everywhere.
The President will hold office until the 2025 elections
According to sources, the new president, who will be appointed on October 2, will hold his post till the 2025 Bihar assembly elections. The term of office of the chairman in Jan Suraj is kept for one year. According to Prashant Kishor, the president will change every year and all communities will have a chance at this post under collective participation.
It is proposed to make the president a Dalit in the first year, an extremely backward person in the second year, a Muslim in the third year, a backward person in the fourth year and an upper caste person in the fifth year. President
