It was 2000. When many new films were being made in Bollywood. This was also the time when many new faces were emerging in the industry. At the same time, the actor, seen in Bigg Boss 4, made his debut as an assistant director in Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Aap Muzhe Achhe Lagane Laghe’. After this he acted in 3 consecutive hit films. He then made his acting debut in the year 2003 with the film ‘Bentaha’. He is actor Ameesha Patel’s brother Ashmit Patel.
Ashmit Patel worked as an assistant director on classic films like ‘Raaz’, ‘Awara Pagal Deewana’ and ‘Aap Muzhe Achche Lagane Lage’. Then he started his acting career. However, his first film did not do well. But her role in Anurag Basu’s ‘Murder’ in 2004 gave her a different identity. His second film proved to be a hit. After this Ashmit acted in many more films like ‘Nazar’, ‘Silsile’, ‘Fight Club’, ‘Banaras’, ‘Dil Diya Hai’ and ‘Kudiyon Ka Hai Jamana’.
When career derailed
But Ashmit’s burgeoning career suddenly derailed. Both his personal and professional life were shaken. Indeed, his actress Rhea Sen’s MMS went viral. Due to which his image was damaged a lot. After this he was not seen in the industry for years. After a long time, he made a comeback in 2014 with Salman Khan’s film ‘Jai Ho’.

Ashmit Patel has made his mark not only in films but also on the small screen. She has appeared in many shows including ‘Bigg Boss Season 4’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ Season 5. In 2020, he was also seen in ‘Peshawar’ and ‘The Bull: Dalal Street’. But now he is working as a DJ for some time now.
