Delhi pollution
This time too there will be a ban on bursting firecrackers for the people of Delhi on Diwali. Like every time, Delhi government has taken this decision keeping in mind the pollution in winter. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that in order to control the increasing pollution in Delhi during the winter season, the Kejriwal government has imposed a complete ban on the production, storage, sale and use of firecrackers like last year.
Along with this, Gopal Rai also said that online sale and delivery of crackers will be banned this time. The ban on manufacture, storage, sale and use of firecrackers will remain in effect till January next year. An action plan will be drawn up with Delhi Police, DPCC and Revenue Department to strictly enforce this ban. Gopal Rai also said that the government is preparing a winter action plan on 21 focus points to control pollution.
Winter Action Plan is ready
Earlier on Thursday, Gopal Rai had shared a video on the social media platform saying that a winter action plan based on 21 points will be made to deal with the problem of pollution in winter. He had a meeting with all the departments.
