Government to spend Rs 2 lakh crore on jobs, employment and skills in budget
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the full budget in Parliament today. This is her seventh consecutive budget. The Finance Minister said that this time Rs 2 lakh crore has been allocated in the budget for employment and skill development for the youth.
The Finance Minister’s big announcement
Apart from spending Rs 2 lakh crore on employment, the government said that those who provide employment will be given help by the government. 10 lakh youth have benefited from EPFO. The Finance Minister has also announced incentives for registration with EPFO. Presenting the budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that this time the focus of the government is to generate employment and for this, 5 schemes for employment opportunities will be introduced and the government has provided Rs 2 lakh crore for employment. A package of Rs 1000 crore has been announced.
Training for employment to 20 lakh youth
Presenting the budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that 20 lakh youth will be provided with training for employment. Apart from this, the government will give incentives for job creation and three government incentive schemes will be introduced for job creation. As per the PM scheme, the incentives will be given in 3 phases and functional hostels will be constructed in collaboration with the industry.
