He said that if a helpless person knocks on Bengal’s door, we will give him shelter as the UN resolution allows neighboring areas to help people in distress.
Mamata Banerjee said, “I cannot comment on the issue of Bangladesh, as it is a separate country. Government of India will say what needs to be said. He said that these are issues that the Government of India is handling.

Amit Malviya asked CM Mamata who gave her the right to welcome anyone to India?
Why has the climate deteriorated in Bangladesh?
Violent protests are taking place in Bangladesh against reservation in government jobs. According to media reports, more than 100 people have died in these protests so far, while hundreds have been injured. However, the Supreme Court of Bangladesh intervened and reduced the reservation for relatives of 1971 war freedom fighters from 30 percent to 5 percent and fixed 2 percent reservation for ethnic minorities, transgenders and the disabled. Also, 93 percent recruitment has been ordered to be done on the basis of merit.
