In Vishwadham Puram Colony in Subhashnagar Police Station area of ​​Bareilly, the brother of a Samajwadi Party zilla panchayat member opened fire on a shopkeeper when he asked for money to repair a mobile phone. The shopkeeper survived but the bullet hit the shopkeeper’s aunt, who lives nearby, in the face, injuring her severely. The injured woman was rushed to a private hospital, where her condition remains critical. At the same time, the police have arrested the accused Akshay Srivastava, who fired the pistol, and the accused’s brother, a Zilla Panchayat member, has also been detained by the police. He is being interrogated.
Shot on demand of money
Vineet Kumar, who lives in the colony, alleged that he has a mobile repair shop near Vishwadham Param Colony. Akshay Srivastav, younger brother of Samajwadi Party zilla panchayat member Satyendra Srivastav, who lives in the same colony, came to his mobile shop and left after giving the mobile for repair. 450 rupees were to be given to him for this and he did not pay the money. Akshay was also spoken to over the phone for money, on which he got angry and came to the shop and started swearing.
Vineet’s aunt was shot
The accused threatened to kill him. After this he took out a pistol from the car and fired at Vineet Kumar. Due to the fire, Vineet’s aunt Kamala Devi, who was standing there, was shot in the face due to which she fell on the ground in a pool of blood. Hearing the sound of gunshots, the surrounding people also came and immediately admitted him to a private hospital. After receiving the information, the police reached and started investigating the entire matter and arrested the absconding accused with a pistol. Police say that accused Akshay Srivastav has confessed to firing. Now the police have registered a case and are investigating the entire matter.
SP leader also in police custody
After the firing, the main accused was arrested by the police, after which his brother, Satyendra Srivastava, a district panchayat member of the Samajwadi Party, has also been detained by the police and is also being interrogated. According to information, the Punjab Police had raided the house of SP leader’s Zilla Panchayat member Satyendra Vastav a year ago on suspicion of smuggling, but the leader had locked the house with his wife and absconded before the raid. Briefing the entire matter, CO Second Sandeep Kumar said that the shooter, Akshay Srivastava, has been arrested and is being sent to jail. The woman is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
