Protests continue by teachers over digital presence in council schools in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, strict action has been taken against the protesting teachers in Barabanki district of the state. BSA has issued instructions to withhold salary of teachers who do not mark attendance for three days. Meanwhile, a peaceful protest by teachers of council schools against online attendance continues in the district.
The protest by the teachers is going on in the district. During the protest, the women teachers expressed their protest by putting a black DP on WhatsApp. Apart from this, teachers unions and teachers are continuously protesting by tying black bands in schools and block resource centers. Due to which not a single teacher registered his attendance online.
Unable to Attend Online – Teachers
Protesting teachers say online attendance is not possible without solving our problems. The main demands of the teachers include 15 days half CL, 31 days EL, cashless treatment, state employee status, freedom to buy fruits and milk, resolution of network problem, old pension and improvement of roads to schools. The teachers protested and said that we are totally boycotting the mandate of digitalization without solving the problems.
BSA tightens, prepares for action
Meanwhile, while issuing the order, Barabanki BSA Santosh Dev Pandey has said that those who have not registered their digital presence from July 8 to July 10, their salary has been blocked till further orders. Also, everyone has been directed to follow the orders of the Director General of School Education in letter and spirit. Even after this, if the teachers do not register their digital presence, they will be informed to the higher authorities for departmental disciplinary action against them, which will be the sole responsibility of the concerned.
