Man dies due to landslide

According to information, Babu Chandra Mohan Pandey, a resident of Pithoragarh and posted at the DM office, was trekking with his colleagues when the landslide occurred. He died due to a landslide.
Rescue and relief operations are going on
Due to heavy debris following the landslide, the body could not be recovered yet. Relief and rescue teams are rescuing people at the spot. Following this incident, people have been banned from trekking and traveling in the hilly areas. People have been appealed not to go to the hills for now.
At present, the administration and the Disaster Management Authority are continuously appealing to people not to come to the hills following the warning of the Meteorological Department. Along with this, many national highways have been closed due to landslides.
