Satsang in Hathras

121 devotees were killed in a stampede during a satsang in Phulrai village of Hathras in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. The Sub-District Magistrate (SDM) of Hathras has handed over the investigation report of the accident to the District Magistrate (DM). According to the SDM, after the end of the satsang, the crowd was trying to reach Bhole Baba, but his servants and personal security personnel (black commandos) themselves started pushing. After this there was a stampede at the place.

According to the SDM, more than two lakh people were present in the satsang. Bhole Baba reached the pandal around 12.30 pm and his program lasted for 1 hour. Meanwhile, when Bhole Baba came out of the pandal at 1.40 pm, devotees came forward to touch the dust of his feet. People jumped the divider and started running towards Baba’s vehicle. But it was Baba’s personal guards and servants who started pushing. After this some people fell down. Then people started trampling each other.
