CM Mohan Yadav
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will hold one-to-one discussions with industrialists and participate in sectoral sessions at the Regional Industry Conclave in Sagar on September 27. On this occasion Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will also virtually inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various new and proposed projects.
These include proposed land allotment for regional office of Sagar, Bhopal and Narmadapuram divisions, foundation laying of MPIDC regional office in Sagar, inauguration of District Investment Promotion Center in Sagar, Damoh, Panna, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur and Niwari districts and MPIDC. This includes the inauguration of an office in Coimbatore.
Field session
Various sectoral sessions will be organized in the conclave. This includes two rounds on petrochemicals, plastics and allied sectors (major focus bna refinery related), agriculture, food processing and dairy sectors, MSMEs and startups, cottage industries (major focus – BD industry), renewable energy, textiles and technical textiles. . Also included are table sessions, workshops on One District-One Product (ODOP) and a hackathon for IT-based solutions to local problems.
The main center of the conclave
The main focus of the conclave will be local cottage industries. A detailed action plan will be discussed in a separate session based on the BD industry. ‘One District-One Product’ will discuss global quality, marketing and processing and other issues of local products of all the districts of Sagar Division.
A video film related to investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh will be shown at the conclave. Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Raghvendra Kumar Singh will give a presentation on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh and Principal Secretary Mines and Mineral Resources Sanjay Shukla will give a presentation on investment opportunities in the mining sector. Principal Secretary Tourism Shiv Shekhar Shukla will give a presentation on investment opportunities in the tourism sector and MSME Secretary Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari will give a presentation on MSME and Startups.
Focus on cottage and village industries
At the conclave, a presentation on cottage and village industries will be given by Mohit Bundas, managing director of Handicrafts, Handicrafts Development Corporation and Madhya Pradesh Khadi Village Industries Board. Leading industrialists will share their experiences regarding investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. There will be a round table meeting on investment in renewable energy sector and textile and technical sector.
Exhibitions and stalls of beneficiary oriented schemes of various departments including one district-one product will also be set up in the conclave. Cultural programs steeped in Bundelkhandi culture will be presented in the conclave. Local artistes will present a fascinating performance of Bundelkhandi dance and singing. Guests will be welcomed in traditional manner at the venue. Guests can enjoy local cuisine in the dining room.
