Although the Rajasthan High Court has granted Asaram Bapu seven days of parole in the name of treatment, he will have to bear the entire cost of his security during this period. This expenditure also includes salaries and allowances of police personnel who live with them for security purposes. The entire expenditure incurred in this will be decided by the Commissionerate of Police, Jodhpur. After this Asaram Bapu has to deposit the entire amount of possible expenses in advance in the Police Commissionerate. In this case, only the police commissionerate will decide how many and what rank of policemen will accompany Asaram Bapu.
Accordingly, the potential costs may increase or decrease. According to Jodhpur Jail Superintendent Pradeep Lakhawat, Asaram is ill and currently admitted to AIIMS. After being discharged from AIIMS, he will be taken to Maharashtra for further treatment. For this they will first have to furnish two sureties and a personal bond. After this he will be paroled from Jodhpur jail for seven days under police protection. He said that the orders of the Rajasthan High Court have been received by the Jail Management and Police Commissionerate.

In such a situation, whenever Asaram makes a written request to go on parole from here, the necessary formalities for the same will be initiated and after payment of expenses, he will be sent from here. Asaram Bapu, serving a life sentence for raping a minor girl of Gurukul, is currently lodged in Jodhpur Jail. He was ill for a long time. He was admitted to AIIMS hospital two days ago due to this ailment. After being admitted to AIIMS, he filed a petition in the Rajasthan High Court requesting to be treated in Maharashtra. Accepting his plea, the High Court granted him parole for 7 days with certain conditions.
