A court has ordered the arrest of a woman police officer in Gazipur district of Uttar Pradesh. The court has given this order after a woman policeman was not allowed to record her statement in a case. Earlier, the court had ordered the police to arrest the woman and produce her in the court. When Lady Kotwal Tarawati was the police station chief of Suhwal, a woman named Sunita poisoned her three children in tea due to a family dispute at her in-laws’ house. Tarawati sent the woman to jail in this case. Many people have recorded their statement in this matter, but even after receiving the date, Taravati has not recorded her statement. The court angrily issued a non-bailable warrant against the woman police officer.
According to the information, Bhudkuda Kotwal was in charge of Suhawal police station. Meanwhile, he had sent a woman to jail. The woman was accused of planning to kill her three children due to a quarrel at her in-laws’ house. He tried to kill children by mixing poison in tea, in which one child also died.
The court expressed displeasure
In this whole matter, the in-charge of police station Taravati at that time arrested the woman and sent her to jail. Many people recorded their statements in the court in this case, but Kotwal Taravati did not record his statement in the court. The date for recording the statement was also given several times by the court. But despite getting several dates, Taravati did not reach the court. Irked by this, Additional Sessions Judge Pratham Shakti Singh’s court has ordered his arrest.
The court imposed a ban on the salary
Additional Sessions Judge Pratama Shakti Singh’s court, while issuing a non-bailable warrant against Bhurkuda police station in-charge Tarawati, ordered police station chief Suhwal to be arrested and produced before the court on October 7. Not only this, the court ordered freezing of Taravati’s salary till her statement is recorded.
Issue of non-bailable warrant
The deposition proceedings in the case have been going on in the court since February 2024, but due to the absence of Kotwal Taravati’s deposition, no further proceedings are being taken. To complete further proceedings, the court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Tarawati and directed the police to arrest her and produce her before the court on October 7.
