NCP leader and deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, a member of the grand coalition government, has already apologized. Now Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has also apologized. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has appealed to the opposition not to politicize the matter, as deliberations are underway as to how the grand statue will be constructed at the earliest.

The Chief Minister said on Thursday that there are many subjects for politics. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is known to all of us. He is our Lord. Please don’t politicize this. I put my head at his feet and apologize not once but a hundred times. We are running the affairs of the state following them. That is why I salute him.

He said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj should give wisdom to his opponents. Eknath Shinde while talking to the media said that they should not bring politics into this issue.
