Another suicide in Kota! A student preparing for NEET jumped from the 9th floor, frustrated with low marks

A student preparing for the NEET exam in Rajasthan’s Kota has committed suicide by jumping from a building. Family members say that ever since the NEET result came out, the student was continuously going through depression. According to the police, this case belongs to Jawahar Nagar Police Station area of ‚Äč‚ÄčKota. The student is said to be a resident of Rewa in Madhya Pradesh. The student had been preparing for a long time while living in Kota with her mother and brother.

Police said the student, Wagia Tiwari, is a resident of Rewa in Madhya Pradesh. The student jumped from the 9th floor on Wednesday evening. It is being said that the student was worried since the NEET exam result was declared recently. She started keeping silent and didn’t talk much to anyone. Her mother was living with her and she was asking her daughter to study. Wagia Tiwari is said to be 18 years old. He lives with his brother and mother in room number 503 of Pukhraj Element Building. The entire incident has been captured on CCTV.

It can be clearly seen in the camera that the student first tried to jump from the 9th floor thrice but could not muster up the courage. After this the student jumped for the fourth time. Even the people living in the building do not know much about the incident. The police have sent the body of the student for postmortem. Currently, the police are also interrogating the family members to know the reason behind the student’s suicide.

Student suicides are not stopping

In the last one-and-a-half years, about three dozen suicide cases have come to light in Kota in which students committed suicide due to the pressure of studies. The administration is also very alert about this and has alerted the hostel managers by calling them several times. Special counseling has also been arranged for students suffering from depression.
