The Pakistan team has been eliminated from the Super-8 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Therefore, the players of the Pakistan cricket team are being criticized in their own country. Meanwhile, the players will get another big shock. Pakistani players will be punished for poor performance. The PCB is preparing to take action against some players after their return to Pakistan. This includes captain Babar Azam and star players Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi. The Pakistan team has been eliminated from the group stage. This is the first time that the Pakistan team has not reached the Super 8. So now the Pakistani players will have to pay the price for it. The US has reached the Super-8 after Friday’s match against Ireland was canceled due to rain.

Pakistan officials and former players have advised PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi to re-evaluate the players. This agreement was signed during the tenure of former President Zaka Ashraf.

Players’ salaries will be cut!

According to media reports, if the contracts are re-evaluated and the President takes strict action on the team’s recent poor performance, the players’ salaries and fees may be reduced. This is the third time, including the 9th edition of the T20 World Cup, that the Pakistan team has failed to advance from the stage matches.

Under the leadership of Younis Khan, Pakistan won the T20 World Cup in 2009. While Shoaib Malik (2007) and Babar Azam (2022) reached the final, reaching the semi-finals in 2010, 2012 and 2021.

In the first match of Group A of the 2024 World Cup, Pakistan lost to America in the Super Over. Pakistan’s team also lost to India. In this match, Indian bowlers won as if they had pulled the grass out of Pakistan’s mouth. Pakistan’s team could not score 120 runs.

Pakistan under Babar Azam had a disappointing outing in both the Asia Cup and the World Cup last year. Prior to the T20 World Cup, they had to play a 2-2 draw against New Zealand B at home and also lost a T20I match against Ireland.
