People loot liquor in Andhra Pradesh
An interesting incident has come to light in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, in which people looted liquor bottles in front of the police. The policemen kept stopping them but the people did not agree and started leaving the place picking up bottles of liquor of their choice right in front of the policemen. The case is that during the general elections in Guntur, the police seized liquor worth lakhs. Liquor bottles are being destroyed on Monday following the order of the SP. Meanwhile, this entire matter has come to light.
According to the information, during the assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, the police seized liquor worth around 50 lakh rupees. The police kept the liquor bottles in the storeroom. After that, the process of destroying liquor bottles was to be carried out which was decided to be done on Monday. SP Satish Kumar issued an order and asked to make arrangements to destroy the liquor bottles.
On Monday, the police seized 24,031 bottles of liquor. Arrangements were made to destroy the liquor bottles at the dumping yard at Nallacheruvu on Itukuru Road. Procloin was called to the spot to destroy the liquor bottles. Started crushing liquor bottles by crushing them with Procloin. Senior police officers were also present at the spot. Shortly after the proceedings began, senior police personnel withdrew from the spot.
Locals also flocked to see the liquor bottles being destroyed. As soon as the senior police officers returned from the scene, locals attacked them and started looting liquor bottles in front of the policemen. Someone also recorded a video while looting liquor bottles. The video is going viral. In the video, it can be seen that liquor bottles are kept on the ground for destruction but people are picking up the bottles and taking them away. Some policemen are asking people to put back the bottles and there are scuffles but still the looting continues.
In the entire matter, the police have said that liquor bottles have been seized from some people, although some people are absconding, legal action will be taken after identifying those people.
