Every day cases of sexual harassment come to light from the film industry. His words come up again and again. However, many actresses themselves have come forward and revealed this. While some are silent about this. In such a situation, many stars of Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu film industries have opened up about sexual harassment after the recent Hema Committee report on Kerala’s Malayalam film industry. Many stars of Hindi industry like Swara Bhaskar, Shilpa Shinde etc. have given their opinion on this. Now Ananya Pandey’s name has been added to this list. Ananya praised the unity of women in the Malayalam film industry.
During an interview on 14 September, Ananya Pandey said, “It is very important for every industry to have a committee like the Hema Committee, where women come together and start something like this. I think doing this has definitely made a difference. As you know and can see now people are at least talking about this problem. However, there is still a long way to go. “There are still big battles to be fought.”
Work for women’s safety have started doing
Ananya Pandey said that many production houses have started working to protect women. She said, “I see that today we have some helpline numbers in our contact list which ensure the safety of women and I think this is very important. Our call sheet also has helpline numbers on which you can call and complain. Even if you want to complain anonymously I don’t think this problem is unique to the film industry. It is important that we resolve this as soon as possible.”

Ananya said, “At least stand for something. This is very important. “You may not want to talk about everything, but choose what you feel strongly about.” He said, “Women’s safety is very important to me. I always talk about it and it’s important to do it right. It’s not just about talking. You have to do something. “Actions speak louder than words.”
What is the Hema Committee Report?
In 2017, a committee on the working conditions of women in the Malayalam film industry was formed in Kerala under the chairmanship of Justice Hema. Its report reached the government about five years ago. Even after the report came, no action was taken on it for a long time. However, there was an uproar after the report was made public on August 19 this year. After this many actresses came forward and cases were also registered. The report of the Hema Committee talks about the casting couch and sexual harassment of women associated with the industry.
