Innocent Arjun of Neemkatha in Sikar district of Rajasthan has finally received an injection of Rs 17 crore 50 lakh. Arjun was suffering from a rare disease called spinal muscular atrophy. An injection of this disease was brought from Austria to be given to Arjuna. Doctors said that Arjun’s health is now completely fine. The injection process lasted for more than an hour. The injection manufacturing company has contributed 8 crore 50 lakh rupees under social responsibility.
Arjun, who lives in Neemkathana in Sikar district, has been given an injection for a disease called spinal muscular atrophy. The cost of this injection is 17 crore 50 lakh rupees. Injections could not be given on time due to high cost. Arjun was supposed to get an injection on 5th May but the money could not be collected.
8 crore 50 lakh collected through crowd funding
Crowd funding was being done to get Arjun an injection. Arjun was supposed to get the injection in May but only 7 crore 50 lakh rupees could be collected through crowd funding. The injection could not be made due to lack of funds. After arranging the money in July, several tests were done on Arjun for injection. The injection did not take place in July as everything was not well. Now after everything is favorable in the test, the doctors have given injection to Arjun on Saturday.
What did the treating doctor say?
The doctor said that Arjun was given the injection after 28 months. He said that so far four patients of this disease have been found in the country. This injection has been given to three children earlier. All three children are healthy. The doctor also said that children cannot sit properly due to this disease. Children suffering from this disease are treated only up to 24 months. As age increases, treatment becomes difficult.
