Bangladesh is burning with violence. The situation is going from bad to worse. Amidst the violence, many students studying there have to stay in hostels. The family appealed to the Indian government for help to get the students back. Many students studying in Bangladesh have been recalled with the help of the Indian Embassy. It also features Aanchal Saini, a medical student from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. He told about the violence happening there and the situation there.

Anchal is a second year MBBS student at Ghazi Medical College, Bangladesh. Anchal is very happy to return home. She is repeatedly expressing her gratitude to the Government of India and the Indian Embassy. Her family is also expressing happiness on the safe arrival of her daughter. On the situation there, Anchal Saini said that the students were locked in the hostel after the violence.

Aanchal says that a dispute arose over reservation in Bangladesh. Due to which students protested. The opposition to reservation seemed insignificant at first. But soon the movement turned violent. He says that students are attracted towards reservation. After this, students started protests in Bangladesh. In no time, the situation in Bangladesh turned very bad. After which there was a situation of closing the colleges and schools there.

Violence in the streets, network shutdowns, fear and danger

Anchal said that his exam was on July 18. The exam was canceled due to sudden student protests. The network was down in Bangladesh. No student was allowed to leave by the university. Due to which our contact with family was broken. Seniors present in the university approached the government to send him back to India. But the university teachers were not ready to believe a single thing.

Teachers helped in this way

Anchal said that earlier the teachers used to say that everything would be fine in 4 to 5 days. But then the violence escalated. The scared students used a lot of force on the teachers. Later, the university teachers took the matter to the Indian Embassy. From there Bangladesh government was forced. On 22nd July the principal came to the hostel and informed that you guys can go back to India. All the students jumped with joy on hearing this news. Everyone left their university at 9 am. With the help of the Indian Embassy we have all returned. Students have been brought from Bangladesh to Kolkata with the help of buses. He has reached Moradabad by train from Kolkata.
