Shiromani Akali Dal leader and Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal

Shiromani Akali Dal leader and Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal has simultaneously targeted Congress and BJP. He said that BJP along with Rahul Gandhi and his Congress party are equally guilty of committing inhumane crimes against Sikhs. It is also true that the Sikhs, their institutions and their holy temples are now under constant attack and are facing open interference from the government and the ruling party at the Centre.

He said that Rahul Gandhi’s own party’s hands are stained with the blood of thousands of innocent Sikhs in the 1984 massacres in Delhi, Kanpur etc. Has he apologized on behalf of his grandmother Indira Gandhi for the tank and mortar firing at the holy Sikh temple Shri Harmandir Sahib and the demolition of Shri Akal Takht Sahib?

Kaur also accused the BJP

The Bathinda MP further asked whether Rahul has the moral right to speak on discrimination against our brave and patriotic community without apologizing. On the other hand, the BJP is also guilty of discriminating against Sikhs and trying to occupy Sikh pilgrimage sites. The crimes of either party do not absolve the other from the same sins. The least Rahul can do is apologize to Sikhs for what his grandmother’s government and party did in 1984 before speaking on Sikh issues.

What did Rahul Gandhi say?

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, during his visit to America, said at an event in Washington DC on Monday night that India is a union of languages, traditions and religions. When Indian people visit their religious places, they merge with their deity.

This is the nature of India. The misconception of BJP and RSS is that they believe that India is a conglomeration of different things. I don’t hate Narendra Modi. I don’t agree with his point of view, but I don’t hate him, I sympathize with him in many moments.

BJP has attacked Rahul

BJP has also hit out at Rahul Gandhi’s comments. The BJP has said that despite being the leader of the opposition, he is damaging India’s image abroad. He should take over as Leader of the Opposition. BJP has given the example of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for this.
