Samajwadi Party MLA Zahid Baig is in trouble due to UP’s Bhadohi. A third case has been registered against the MLA on Friday. Baig was accused in a district court on Thursday of allegedly obstructing the official work of the police and assaulting several policemen along with 40-50 of his supporters.
Additional Superintendent of Police Tej Veer Singh alleged that the MLA badly beat up Sub Inspector Awadhesh Singh and also tore his uniform. Zahid Beg and his supporters spread chaos. On Friday, the police registered a third case against the SP MLA on all these charges.
Nanny Jail Transfer of Zahid Beg Prayagraj
Bhadohi District Jail Jail Subedar Yadav said Samajwadi Party MLA Baig has been sent to Naini Jail in Prayagraj on Friday while his son Jaim Baig has been sent to Varanasi District Jail. The MLA’s son was arrested by the police while Zahid Baig surrendered in court on Thursday. Both were sent to separate jails on the orders of District Magistrate Vishal Singh.
MLA Zahid came into limelight when a minor girl working at his house committed suicide. Zahid Beg himself informed the police about this. The girl committed suicide by locking herself in the room. Another girl was rescued from the MLA’s house the day after the incident. It is said that the minor maid used to live in the house of MLA Zahid Baig and was doing housework round the clock for the last 8-9 years.
Several serious allegations have been made against the MLA
The MLA and his wife face several serious charges, including inciting the maid to commit suicide and violating labor laws. It has been learned that the MLA and his wife along with his son are also involved in this case. The labor department registered a case regarding the incident last Friday and the police registered a case on Saturday. The Labor Department filed a case because the girl was a minor.
