To further strengthen the Punjabi language in Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Ma has announced to fill the vacant posts of Punjabi teachers in all government schools of the state on priority basis. Addressing the gathering during the state level program on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, the Chief Minister said that promotion of Punjabi language is the need of the hour. He said that strengthening the mother tongue of every Punjabi is the primary and main duty of the state government. Bhagwant Singh Mann inspired the students to speak and write Punjabi properly so that they could stay connected with their glorious heritage.
The Chief Minister said that a large number of posts are vacant in the education department, due to which studies are being affected. He said that as part of the commitment to make Punjab a leading state in the field of education, the state government has taken several important initiatives to promote the education sector. Bhagwantsinh Ma said that in the coming days, recruitment will be done for many other posts including campus manager, cleaning staff, watchman.
Paytm on a large scale for the first time
The Chief Minister said that for the first time in the history of Punjab, large-scale Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM) have been organized in government schools across the state. He said that 20 lakh parents participated in it. The Chief Minister said that this unique initiative will greatly benefit the students. Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed the hope that this initiative will help the students in shaping their future in the right direction.
In an emotional conversation with the teachers, the Chief Minister said that the issues of every teacher will be resolved, for which the state government is already making all possible efforts. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he is always available to solve every problem of teachers. He said that being the son of a teacher, he understood the problems of teachers very well and it was his duty to solve them. The Chief Minister said that the government treasury belongs to the public and every penny will be spent wisely for the welfare of every section of the society.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is emphasizing on major reforms in the education system in Punjab. He said, the state government is sending batches of school principals and teachers for training in reputed educational institutions of the country and abroad so that they can further improve their skills and work better for the bright future of children. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the aim is to ensure that teachers know the latest practices prevalent in the field of education and can implement them in schools in Punjab.
Important role of schools of eminence
The Chief Minister said that the schools have been equipped with modern technology to provide quality education to the students. He said that schools of eminence are playing an important role in changing the destiny of the people of the state. Bhagwant Singh Ma said that the result is in front of everyone, as 158 students of government schools have cleared the JEE exam for the first time. He said that this is just the beginning, more such results will emerge in the coming time, for which his government is making continuous efforts.
The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of great joy and satisfaction that it is yielding positive results and the youth are becoming active participants in the socio-economic progress of the state. He said that the massive increase in student enrollment in the educational institutions of the state was a record. Bhagwantsinh Mann said that due to the public welfare policies of the state government, the trend of youth going abroad is changing in the state. Congratulating the teachers on this auspicious occasion, he said that Teachers’ Day holds special significance for him as he deeply respects the teaching community.
