Illegal liquor reaches Kedarnath
Many questions are being raised on the sanctity of Kedarnath Dham. Local people said that some people are doing liquor scam. However, local people caught people selling illegal liquor and made a video. The police are avoiding to say anything about these liquor dealers. People said that the police is silent on the whole matter. According to information, no one is allowed to go from Sonprayag to Gaurikund after 8 pm.
Local people have complained to the police about the issue of illegal liquor during Yatra to Kedarnath Tham. People said that some people have also made a video of this but the police is silent on the whole matter. He said that no one is allowed on the route after 8 pm. Liquor is black marketed on that route between 12 midnight and 1 am.
Accusations on police and Nepali people
The pilgrimage to Lord Kedarnath is at its peak and devotees from all over the country are reaching the Dham to have Baba’s darshan, but the police and people of Nepalese origin are working to tarnish the sanctity of the Dham. Local people said that some people are heavily involved in desecrating the sanctity of the temple and in liquor business. He said that travel and common man are prohibited from going beyond Sonprayag at 8 pm.
The campaign has revealed
From Sonprayag at 1 a.m. people of Nepalese origin run the liquor business. When the locals came to know about it, they launched an operation and caught many people of Nepalese origin smuggling liquor between 12 midnight and 1 am. Who had one or two boxes of liquor in their backs and all started running away hiding their mouths. Police have seized a red colored WagonR car in Sonprayag. In which the driver ran away after filling the quantity of alcohol. Police have seized the vehicle and liquor boxes.
