This group of secretaries will prepare a report to make the Agneepath scheme more attractive.

What is Agnipath Scheme?

According to the Agneepath scheme, firemen are recruited in the army for four years. In this scheme, they get regular salary. Also, on completion of four years, they get Rs 12 lakh. A certain number of firefighters get the right to join the army. Now due to the displeasure of the youth over this scheme, many improvements will be made in it.

Report to Prime Minister Modi

The group of secretaries will soon give a report to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the changes in the Agnipath scheme. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is at the G-7 summit this evening. A detailed report of this scheme will be given to him on his return. The Agnipath scheme is likely to provide some other benefits along with an increase in salary allowances. No official information has been given in this regard yet. But this subject is in the 100-day agenda of the NDA government.

Army will review the plan

A group of senior officials of the Government of India will give its detailed report on June 15-16. After this, the report will be discussed in detail in the cabinet. Its feedback will be taken from the states. After the process is completed, the Prime Minister’s Office will take the final decision on this scheme. On the other hand, the Agneepath scheme is also being reviewed by the Indian Army. The Agneepath scheme was launched in June 2022. During the Lok Sabha elections, this issue was in discussion among the youth of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Haryana and Rajasthan.
