Sharad Pawar, who is considered the Chanakya of Maharashtra politics, has made it clear in a few gestures that Maha Vikas Aghadi will fight the Maharashtra elections without the face of the Chief Minister. Talking to reporters in Kolhapur, Sharad Pawar said that there is no dispute or rift over who will become the chief minister in the Maha Vikas Aghadi. He said that there is no pending issue in the grand coalition on who will be the chief minister.
The Chief Minister will be determined on the basis of numerical numbers
Talking to reporters, he said there was no point in taking the matter further. Many times it is decided on the basis of numbers who will become the Chief Minister.
There is no point in discussing this topic now. Citing the example of 1977 elections, Pawar said that even in that election, the face of the Prime Minister was not decided, but at the behest of Jaiprakash Narayan, everyone came together and after the election, Morarji Desai was elected as the Prime Minister.
Hence, there is no need for a face in this election too, if we win the election, we will give a new option to the people.
Will talk to Chandrababu and Nitish
When asked by reporters if he would try to bring Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar into an opposition alliance, Sharad Pawar neither ruled out the possibility, but hinted that something might happen in the future, saying that with Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar has been active in public life for a long time, so it is not easy to bring him to our side. So far both have taken independent decisions on many issues, so let’s see what happens next.
