People rioting outside the school in crime

A shocking case has come to light in Madhya Pradesh crime. Here, from the assembly stage of the convent school, a student recited the Sanskrit verse ‘Sarve bhavantu sukhin: sarve santu niramaya, sarve bhadrani pasyantu ma kaschit dukhabhaga bhavet’. This made the school principal so angry that he snatched the mic from the student’s hand. Scolding him, he said that this is not a platform for reading poetry. After this the student was chased off the stage. As soon as the student’s family members and members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) got the information about this incident, there was an uproar.

ABVP members said how can a person who does not know the difference between poetry and Sanskrit verses be made a school principal. A question has also been raised as to how a student can be misbehaved for reciting shlokas in school. On receiving information about the commotion by parents and ABVP members, the police reached the spot and registered an FIR against the principal. Taking cognizance of the matter, the DM of Crime has also ordered the District Education Officer to investigate the matter.

Acharya got angry at the Sanskrit verse

According to the district education officer, the matter will be investigated soon and the report will be handed over to the DM. The incident took place on the morning of 15th July. The student’s family members said that the school had a student meeting program. During the program, a student started his speech with a Sanskrit verse. Hearing this, the school principal got so angry that he immediately stopped the speech and snatched the mic from the student’s hand, saying that this was not a platform for reciting poetry. The principal reprimanded the student and removed him from the stage.

A case was registered against the principal

Saddened by the incident, the student informed his family when he reached home. After this ABVP got the information only from the family members. When the school opened on Tuesday morning, the student’s family members and ABVP activists reached the school and started a ruckus. ABVP’s Saamal Dubey, Dhruv Singh Kirar etc. alleged that the Acharya’s action has hurt the religious sentiments of the people. According to the police, an FIR has been registered against the school principal Sister Catherine.
