Recently, Sunny Deol has announced ‘Border 2’. This is the sequel to the 1997 release ‘Border’, which turned out to be a blockbuster. As soon as this announcement was made, the discussion about this film started on social media. Fans are excited for this film. The film will release on 23 January 2026. Even the buzz about this film did not calm down, now the discussion about his second film has started. The film is titled ‘Surya’, which is a remake of the 2018 Malayalam film ‘Joseph’.

Sunny started the work of this film in the year 2022, but the work could not be completed. But now the work is going to start once again on this film. According to a Mid-Day report, Sunny Deol is going to resume shooting for the film. It is being said that the shooting of the film will be completed by November this year.

80 percent shooting has been completed

The report also states that producer Deepak Mukut’s son Kamal Mukut has said that 80 percent of the film has already been shot and Sunny will wrap it up soon. Kamal said about Sunny, “He was busy with other projects and we were trying to work out the dates. We have had a good relationship with the Deol family for years and it doesn’t matter if Sunny can’t shoot the film first. I understand their helplessness.”

After completing the shooting of this film, Sunny will focus on ‘Border 2’. He has already announced the release date of ‘Border 2’, but there is no word yet on when Surya will release. In this film, Sunny will be seen in the role of a retired cop, who will be seen investigating a murder case.
