Afghanistan cricket team has created history in ICC T20 World Cup. Afghanistan has entered the semi-finals by defeating Bangladesh by 8 runs. With this victory of Afghanistan, Australia has packed up. Due to continuous rain interruption, Bangladesh was given a revised challenge of 114 runs in 19 overs according to DLS to win. But Afghanistan bowlers defended these runs brilliantly and bowled out Bangladesh for 105 runs in 17.5 overs.
Earlier, Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat. But they could not score big. Afghanistan scored 115 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Gurbaz scored the highest 43 runs for Afghanistan. Ibrahim Zadran contributed 18 runs and Azmatullah contributed 10 runs. In the end, captain Rashid Khan scored 19 runs in 10 balls. Karim Janat scored 7 runs not out. Rishad Hussain took 3 wickets for Bangladesh. While Mustafizur and Taskin Ahmed both took 1-1 wickets.
