Aamir’s Dangal blown away by Kalki’s storm, animals, RRR, soldiers all in danger, bumper earnings continue

Kalki 2898 AD was released in theaters on 27th June and since then the film has been doing well. The film is receiving excellent response in North America (US and Canada). In just 6 days, the film has beaten many big star films and achieved the 6th position in terms of earnings.

Kalki 2898 AD has overtaken Aamir Khan’s Dangal and Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat at the North American box office. Kalki earned 12 million dollars (100 crores 21 lakhs 57 thousand 800 rupees) in five days. This includes the earnings of the June 26 premiere.

Sixth day, sixth place

By the evening of the sixth day of its release, the film had grossed nearly $7 lakh (Rs. 5 crore 84 lakh 59 thousand 65). In this way, his total earnings have reached 12.7 million dollars (106 crore 6 lakh 14 thousand 465 rupees) in 6 days. The figure may have gone up more in the nightly figures. The exact figure of earnings will be known when the final figures come.

Thus, Kalki finished sixth behind Dangal which earned $12.39 million (Rs 103 crore 47 lakh 25 thousand 450) and Padmaavat which earned $12.17 million (Rs 101 crore 63 lakh 52 thousand 601). Now apart from Kalki there are only five films in North America.

Behind these five films

In this, Baahubali 2 is at the first position with the earnings of 22 million dollars (183 crores 72 lakhs 35 thousand 400 rupees). Pathan ($17.45 million – Rs 145 crore 72 lakh 61 thousand 715) is second, Jawan is third ($15.23 million – Rs 127 crore 18 lakh 67 thousand 961), RRR is fourth ($15.15 million – Rs 126 crore). 51 lakh 87 thousand 105 rupees) and the fifth number is Animal ($15 crore – 125 crore 26 lakh 60 thousand 500 rupees).

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki has done over Rs 380 crore business in 6 days at the domestic box office. The film is earning well in Hindi as well.
