Aamir changed the climax

However, while revealing, Aamir Khan once shared how he changed the climax scene. Aamir said that he changed the climax already written in the film’s script to make it more impressive and realistic.

Aamir did not like the script of the climax

In an interview with YouTube channel CinemaNreal, Aamir Khan talked about the climax of the film. Aamir said, “First the climax was where we kill the defense minister and try to escape from the city and then we each get shot at different places. So I asked Mehra, ‘I really liked your script but I don’t understand the climax because why are they running away? Does he think he has done something wrong?’ So he said, ‘Yes, why are they running?’

For the film’s climax, Aamir told the director, “Bhagat Singh is shown throughout the film, so Bhagat Singh didn’t run away, so he got himself arrested and then said what he wanted to say. So even these people should not run away. I have a story that I wrote many years ago. By my climax, there are two people who are stuck in a situation where they need to communicate with people. So they break into a TV studio and take it over. Then they come alive, so they can start speaking to people.

After this, the climax of ‘Rang De Basanti’ became a memorable moment of the film, which left an indelible impression on people. This climax made ‘Rang De Basanti’ a film that is still remembered today.
