Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh is known as the birthplace and work place of Bahadur Putra. The brave sons of this place have been awarded with awards ranging from Paramvir Chakra to Mahavir Chakra and Veer Chakra. These brave sons are always at the forefront to protect Mother India by sacrificing their lives. If we talk about Gahmar village, the residents here have special blessings of Kuldevi. Perhaps this is the reason why brave sons here are always ready to serve in the army to protect mother India. The brave sons of this village have participated enthusiastically in all the wars fought till date, but the brave sons of this village have never been martyred during the war.
Talking about Gahmar village, this village is counted among the largest villages in Asia. On an average, one person from every family here is currently in the army or has retired and does farming or other work at home. The army of this village has officers from the rank of constable to colonel. The village is inhabited by people of the Sikarwar dynasty, who reached Ghazipur from Fatehpur Sikri in 1526. This place was earlier ruled by nomads. The nomads used to cut down the forests and make their abode there, then they stayed here.
Mata Kamakhya protects the bunkers
When the people of the Sikarwar clan came to this place, they saw rats and cats running here. Then they decided to stay here. He established his clan goddess Ma Kamakhya here at Sakradih place. People living here believe that Kuladevi Ma Kamakhya always protects the people. Even when they go to the battlefield, Mother Kamakhya protects all these people by staying around her bunker during the war.

No one was martyred
Perhaps this is the reason why 28 people of Gahmar village were killed in the First World War, out of which 21 were martyred, but after the first world war, Mother Kamakhya paid special attention to her people. In all the wars since then, Mother Bharati has protected the valiant sons of Gahmar village in all wars, but till date no one has been martyred. Be it the war of 1965, 1971, India-Bangladesh-China war, Kargil war, till date not a single soldier of Gahmar village has been martyred in any war.
Mother Kamakhya’s grace rests on people
Former Sainik Seva Samiti Chairman Markandey Singh who himself was involved in the 1971 war. He said that the war was going on and he hid in a bunker with his squad. At night these people saw a woman in a white saree hovering in the sky around their bunkers saying that you guys fight the war without any worries, nothing will happen to you. After that we all enthusiastically participated in the battle and won that battle. He said that the blessings of our Kuldevi Ma Kamakhya are always on the people here.
Visit mother after returning from duty
This is the reason why whenever a soldier comes home from duty, he first goes to the temple of Maa Kamakhya and takes blessings before going home. Even when he goes back to duty, he goes to the railway station with the blessings of Mother Kamakhya. All the brave sons and veterans of the village include this in their daily routine.
