Kalki AD 2898 is full of VFX

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is releasing on June 27. Audiences are eagerly waiting for this film and after the release of the trailer, it has increased even more. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin. This film has been made in a big budget of 600 crores. It is said to be India’s most expensive film. The film will be full of VFX. This can be easily guessed by watching the trailer. Advanced technology, gadgets and visual effects have been used extensively in the trailer.

Nag Ashwin engaged a large number of technicians and special VFX departments to work on the film. This also includes the name of Canadian VFX company ‘The Embassy’, which has previously worked on big films like ‘Iron Man’, ‘Captain America’ and ‘Hunger Games’. Now his VFX supervisor Paul Copeland said that he worked on 700 shots in the film. He said he turned the wasteland of the desert into a CG.

Converted Wasteland to CG

He said, “We are responsible for around 700 shots in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. We did most of the work in the film by converting the desert wastelands into CG. Our biggest task was to create the vehicles of the future. These vehicles were being designed to run at high speed in the desert and engage in big battles between the main characters. To complete these shots, we used various visual effects techniques. We have also incorporated environments, vehicles, weapons, destruction, digital stunt doubles, holograms into the creation.”

Scientific theme

Also, the compositing supervisor for ‘Kalki AD 2898’ said that the film will have a profound impact on Indian cinema. This is a huge project, with lots of interesting ideas and a big science-fiction theme. Along with Prabhas, Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patni were also seen in this film. Deepika is shown pregnant in the trailer. Disha is also seen for a few seconds in the trailer.
