There was an uproar after a 14-year-old girl was raped in Ghaziabad, which is adjacent to Delhi. Based on the complaint of the victim and her family, the police registered a case and immediately arrested the accused. The outraged people created an uproar over this incident. People from Hindu organizations also protested. Suddenly the crowd got agitated and started vandalism and arson. Seeing the situation turning violent, the police had to lathi-charge the riotous crowd. Now the police is going to take action against these miscreants.
According to Ghaziabad Trans Hindon DCP Nimish Patil, some miscreants spread rumors near Surya Nagar Chowki on Thursday evening that the case was a case of gang-rape. As soon as this rumor spread, the mob got agitated and started vandalizing a scrap shop and a rickshaw parked nearby. Many rickshaws were set on fire. As the situation worsened, the crowd created a jam and the police had to lathi-charge to control the crowd.

According to DCP Nimish Patil, the police swung into action on receiving information about the rape of the minor, the accused Faizan, who is a scrap dealer, has been arrested. In her statement, the victim said that the man, identified as Faizan, entered the house and beat her, drugged her and raped her. But in the evening rumors of gang-rape spread in this case, due to which the atmosphere turned into mayhem. The police are now looking for the people who spread the rumour.
Junkie broke into the house, raped her
The case is from Link Road Police Station area Brajvihar. Here the victim girl was alone in the house. Faizan works as a scrap dealer in his neighborhood. Seizing the opportunity, Faizan entered the girl’s house. He beat and raped the girl. It is alleged that Faiza was raped after the girl became unconscious. When the family came to know about the incident, they filed a complaint with the police.
Based on the statement of the girl and her family, the police registered a case and arrested the accused Faizan. According to the police, the victim and her family accused Faizan of assault and rape. Based on his complaint, a case was immediately registered and the accused was arrested.
Police action followed by vandalism and arson
Crowds of people gathered after the police action. In which women were also involved. The girl’s aunt in the crowd termed the rape incident as gang rape. Hindu organizations started protesting the arrest of the remaining accused, alleging gang-rape. Meanwhile the demonstration turned violent. The miscreants in the mob vandalized the garbage shop and vehicles. An e-rickshaw parked outside was set on fire. After this, the crowd created a ruckus at the Suryanagar police post with posters in their hands. He was demanding hanging of the accused. The police chased the rioters with baton charges.
