Manohar Lal has disappeared from the poster of Aarti and Bhavya
Leaders have lotus feet despite being the Chief Minister, but as soon as they leave the post, they disappear from the poster… Shivraj Singh Chauhan, who was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, said these things in January 2024. After leaving his chair. After 8 months, these words of Shivraj Singh Chauhan are being seen in Haryana’s election scandal. Here former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has disappeared from the posters of many BJP leaders. That too when Khattar is constantly making political trips to Haryana.
The disappearance of Khattar, who was the face of the BJP in Haryana for 9 years from the poster, has become the subject of political headlines. The question is, what is the reason why Khattar’s picture is not visible in the posters of many leaders?
Manohar Lal Khattar is a powerful minister at the Centre
Manohar Lal Khattar, who was the Chief Minister of Haryana for 9 years, has been made a minister in Modi 3.0. Khattar is the only minister from Haryana who currently holds the status of a cabinet minister. Rao Indrajit Singh is the Minister of State with Independent Charge of Haryana and Krishnapal Gurjar is the Minister of State.
Talking about departments, Karnal MP Khattar is currently the Minister of Energy and Urban Development. Both the sectors are considered very important in terms of infrastructure development.
Put on Saini’s poster, but missing from here
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has filed his candidature from Ladwa. Manohar Lal Khattar is pictured in the posters released by Saini regarding the nomination, but Khattar has disappeared from the posters of Rao Indrajit Singh’s daughter and Kuldeep Bishnoi’s son.
Kuldeep Bishnoi’s son Bhavi is the BJP candidate from Adampur and Rao Indrajit Singh’s daughter Aarti Ateli. The largest picture on Bhavya’s poster is of his grandfather Bhajanlal and then his father Kuldeep Bishnoi. Narendra Modi, JP Nadda, Dharmendra Pradhan, Naib Saini, Satish Punia have also been featured in the poster.
Similarly, Rao Indrajit Singh’s picture is the biggest on the Aarti poster. Apart from this, Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Naib Saini and Dharmendra Pradhan have been given place in the poster.
Why did Khattar disappear from the poster?
1. Political relations are no better- Manohar Lal Khattar’s political relations with Kuldeep Bishnoi and Rao Indrajit Singh are not considered good. A statement by Khattar in Hisar during the Lok Sabha elections widened his distance from the Bishnoi family. In fact, during the election campaign, Khattar had targeted Kuldeep’s father Bhajanlal through an old incident.
After the election defeat, Kuldeep attacked Khattar and blamed the former CM for the defeat. Khattar’s relationship with Rao Indrajit was also not normal. When Khattar was the chief minister, Indrajit made statements against him several times from the public platform.
2. Khattar versus anti-authority- Anti-incumbency against Khattar is also being cited as one of the reasons for not having Khattar’s picture on the poster. Due to this anti-incumbency, BJP removed Manohar Lal Khattar from the post of Chief Minister in March 2024.
However, in the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP lost badly in Haryana with 5 out of 10 seats. After the Lok Sabha, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini reversed many old decisions of the Khattar government. These contained rules relating to the rights of chief sarpanches and family cards.
It is being said that many candidates do not want to have Khattar’s picture on their posters due to being anti-incumbency.
3. Khattar also has political influence because- Manohar Lal Khattar did not hold any major post before becoming Chief Minister. Khattar does not have a large political base in Haryana politics. Leaders whose posters do not have Khattar’s picture have their own political base.
For example Bhavya Bishnoi is contesting from Adampur. This seat is considered the stronghold of his family. Along with Bhavi’s parents, his grandfather also won elections from this seat. Interestingly, the Bishnoi family has won the election from this seat on the symbol of three parties.
Similar is the case with Aarti. Aarti’s father Rao Indrajit Singh is a big leader himself. They have their own huge base in the Ahirwal belt. Khattar’s hold on this belt is much weaker than Indrajit’s.
