Carrying the sick woman to the hospital with the support of her shoulders
Many claims have been made by the government regarding the health system in Madhya Pradesh, but many times there have been cases that have exposed the hollow claims of the government. A similar case has also come up from Panna district. The people of the villages located in the hilly areas of the district are still deprived of basic facilities. There are neither roads nor clean drinking water here. A video of an elderly woman being taken to the hospital on her shoulders as her health deteriorates is going viral.
This case pertains to Bhopar, a village located amidst dense forests and mountains in Kalda area under Shahnagar taluka of Panna district. Where as the woman’s health deteriorated, the family members made an ambulance out of sheets and wood and were forced to take the sick woman to the hospital with shoulder support. Earlier, another sick person near the same village was also taken to the hospital in a similar manner.
Even after 78 years, the road has not reached
The sick woman has been identified as Jagrani Bai Gond and her husband Khajan Singh Gond. Although a hanging glass bridge is being built in Panna district and there is talk of building an elevated bridge on the National Highway. But even after 78 years of independence, many tribal villages in Panna district lack basic amenities like roads, electricity and drinking water.
People are forced to drink contaminated water
Due to the lack of roads, many village roads are closed during the rainy season. Due to lack of electricity many villagers are forced to live old fashioned life even in this modern age. Due to lack of drinking water facilities, many villages have become victims of epidemics due to drinking contaminated water.
This is not the first time that a sick person has been taken to the hospital with his shoulder brace. Many such cases have come up before this which exposes the claims of the government. Due to lack of basic facilities, people have to face daily hardships.
