Karan Johar said that this is spoiling his image

The film ‘Shaadi Ke Director Karan Aur Johar’ is all set to release on June 14. This is a comedy film. This is the story of two wedding planners, whose names are Karan and Johar. It is directed by Bablu Singh. Karan Johar’s name is in the title of the film. Objecting to this, Karan has reached the High Court. He has filed a court application against the filmmakers. Karan says that there is an attempt to make fun of him through his name.

Karan has written about misuse of his name in his application. Along with this, he has also demanded to stop the release of this film immediately. He, along with filmmaker IndiaPride Advisory and Sanjay Singh, has filed a petition in the High Court against the film’s writer and director Bablu Singh. His petition was presented before a single bench of Justice RI Chagla on June 13.

Effect on the image

Karan says that by using his ‘brand name’ without his permission, the filmmaker has tarnished his goodwill and image. The lawsuit notes that the film is slated to release on June 14. Its promotional materials including trailers and posters are being shared in all public areas and social media, affecting its image.

Use of brand name

The petition filed said, “These trailers and posters have damaged Johar’s image and goodwill. Besides, such a release of a film with his brand name title ‘Karan Johar’, either all at once or in parts, will damage what he has achieved by spending so much time, effort and money. Karan Johar’s previous film is ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Pre Kahani’. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt were seen in the lead roles.
