In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Pankaja Munde got 6,74,984 votes. While Sharad Pawar’s party NCP candidate Bajrang Sonawane got 6,81,569 votes. That means Pankaja Munde has lost by 6585 votes. After Pankaja Munde’s lead fell rapidly after gaining a decisive lead, Bajrang Sonawane took the lead in the last count and won. Pankaja Munde had demanded recounting of votes in Beed and Gevrai assembly constituencies, but election officer Deepa Mudhol Munde rejected this demand. After losing in Beed Lok Sabha, Pankaja Munde appeared before the workers today. For the last two days, workers have been flocking to meet Pankaja Munde at Yashashree’s residence in Parli. Meanwhile, Munde’s supporters were seen getting emotional. Pankaja Munde has appealed to the workers to continue working hard in the assembly elections just as they had done in the Lok Sabha elections.
