Kangana Ranaut ‘Emergency’

The case of Kangana’s much awaited film ‘Emergency’ was heard in the Bombay High Court today. Meanwhile, the lawyer of the production company Zee Studio told the court that they agree with the changes suggested by the revising committee. A draft has been introduced to implement the changes suggested by the CBFC. CBFC will reply on this format. Now this case will be heard on Thursday 3rd October.

In fact, the case is being heard by a division bench of Justices Burgess Kolabawala and Firdous Pooniwala. The judges last week demanded to know whether the censor board had decided whether it would allow the release of the film and were told that the CBFC’s revising committee had suggested some cuts.

The Censor Board’s revising committee has ordered 13 cuts in Kangana’s much-awaited film, the Censor Board is adamant about not giving a certificate without the suggested cuts. The Censor Board has given the film a U/A certificate. The CBFC claims that the committee decided to screen the film because it contains scenes and dialogues that inflame religious sentiments. Kangana’s film is based on Indira Gandhi’s Emergency.

CBFC made 13 cuts, These things have to change

CBFC has asked to add a disclaimer at the beginning of the film, which says that the film is inspired by a true story. China has separated Assam from India… The Censor Board has sought the source of this dialogue of Pandit Nehru’s character, which is shown in the film. The board also objected to a dialogue of Sanjay Gandhi’s character, which says, ‘Your party wants votes and we want Khalistan’.

Thus the censor board has made 13 cuts in Kang’s emergency. The board has asked to remove him from the film. Along with this, the film producer has also been told that whatever is shown in ‘Emergency’, what is its source and where is it taken from? Documentary evidence should also be provided for this.
