The discussion on the One Nation, One Election proposal has started in the country. A day before that, the Union Cabinet has approved its proposal. Now Rajya Sabha MP and senior leader Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray group has termed this proposal as unconstitutional. Sanjay Raut said that our forefathers and the framers of the constitution prepared the provisions of the constitution very carefully, the Modi government should not try to write a new constitution, a new law.

Along with this, the senior leader of Uddhav Thackeray group Sanjay Raut also attacked the BJP. He said that it is clear that the BJP will face a crushing defeat in the next elections, so they are bringing in funds that will engage the public in the debate.

‘Couldn’t hold elections in 4 states at the same time!’

Sanjay Raut hit hard on the proposal of One Nation, One Election and said that how will they hold elections together in 2029? He also taunted by saying that the government which cannot hold elections in four states simultaneously, cannot hold elections in 14 municipalities including Mumbai Municipal Corporation, cannot hold elections in Jammu and Kashmir for three years, that government is one nation one election. How will she accomplish it?

Country’s diversity will be affected – Uddhav group

Sanjay Raut pointed out that why does a government that cannot go to or talk about Manipur want One Nation One Election? Along with this he also said that India is a country with a large population, the states here have their own diversity. Here the language, region, culture and festivals are different. Due to regional differences, the election dates have been fixed there.

One Nation One Election Anti-Democracy – Raut

He alleged that the proposal was going to kill diversity. By this the government is trying to change the constitution. The principles of the constitution are being changed. Sanjay Raut said that the government should first hold municipal and state elections simultaneously. One nation is anti-election democracy. The slogan in future will be No Election No Nation, this is their preparation. Sanjay Raut raised the question that how will the cost be saved by holding elections simultaneously? Its economics should be explained to the countrymen. This is against the unity of the country.
