Akshay Kumar’s film was rejected by Kangana Ranaut
Known for her outspoken style, Kangana Ranaut is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Emergency. The film will hit theaters on September 6. Kangana said in a recent interview that she rejected all three films of Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. Sanjay Leela Bhansali also offered her a dance number in his film, but she declined that too. Now in a new interview, Kangana has revealed that even Akshay Kumar offered her some films, but she refused to act in all his films.
Talking to NBT, Kangana said that when Akshay called her for ‘Singh is Bling’, she refused to do the film. When Akshay asks the reason for this, he says please understand that you also have a daughter. Kangana said that she refused to work with Akshay because he was not giving her any respectable role.
Akshay told these things to Kangana
Kangana recalled, “Then he called me for some more films. Then he asked, ‘Do you have a problem with me, Kangana?’ I said, ‘Sir, I really have no problem with you’. He asked ‘Then why?’ I am giving you such a good role. I said, ‘Sir, understand, you also have a daughter and I want integrity for women, so she can’t play this role.’
Refused to work with Salman Khan
In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana said that she refused to work with Salman in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ as well. Later this role was played by Kareena Kapoor. He said that when Salman offered him ‘Sultan’ a few years later, he also turned it down. Kangana said, “Salman offered me a role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, I thought, what role has he given me? Then he approached me for Sultan. I haven’t done that either. Then Salman said, ‘Now what else can I give you?’ Kangana said that despite rejecting many of her films, Salman is very kind to her.

He continued, “Salman is very kind. He keeps talking to me. He is also very excited to watch ‘Emergency’. We have a common friend, he sent Salman and said, ‘You go and see what film he has made. Then Salman called me and said, ‘This is a good film’. So we share that kind of bond.”

Kangana Ranaut will be seen in the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in ‘Emergency’. Along with the lead role in this film, Kangana has also directed it. Apart from Kangana, ‘Emergency’ will also feature Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade and late actor Satish Kaushik.
