We want to end the pain of the people of Jammu and Kashmir – Rahul Gandhi said in Srinagar

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on a 2-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir said on Thursday that we want to end the pain of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. In Jammu and Kashmir, unemployment and inflation are at their peak. Regarding the alliance, Rahul said that we will not compromise our honour.

Earlier, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi along with Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge arrived in Jammu and Kashmir’s capital Srinagar on Wednesday to review the party’s preparations for the assembly elections in the union territory. Both the leaders have gone on a 2-day tour. It is also being said that the two senior leaders will explore the possibilities of an alliance with the National Conference during the tour.

Congress leaders were given a warm welcome on their arrival in Srinagar. When they reached the airport, a large number of party workers and supporters were standing. Agitated supporters stopped Rahul Gandhi’s car on Airport Road itself. However, due to this, the security personnel deployed for their protection had to face difficulties for some time.

Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge are visiting the union territory to hold several important meetings in connection with the three-phase assembly elections from September 18 next month. The two leaders did not hold any official meeting on Wednesday. But today, Thursday, he held a meeting with party leaders and workers of 10 districts of Kashmir Valley and held extensive discussions on election and other issues.

After the important meeting in Srinagar, Rahul Gandhi and Khadge will leave for Jammu region by helicopter this afternoon. Both will interact with leaders and activists of 10 districts of the region.
